Partick Thistle Summer Camp - 2017

With joint funding from the Garscube Community Foundation, Woodside and Queens Cross CIG we were able to book 20 spaces for local young people on Partick Thistle Summer Sports Camps.

The camp aims to provide a fun learning experience focusing on specific skills, drills, teamwork, fair play and respect. The Community Trust camps are a great way to develop skills and have a lot of fun.

“Our football camps are rarely accessed by young people from the local community, especially those from minority ethnic backgrounds; it was great to have young people from all backgrounds represented in junior football.” PTCT Coach

St Mary's Parent Council - 2017/2018

St Mary's Parent Council are passionate about involving and supporting the local community and try to assist clubs/groups with funding for events or trips, making applications on their behalf and then donating to these clubs if we are successful in being granted awards.

"The funding gave the parents and children the opportunity to go see a large staged pantomime as part of the Fast Works. Its something that they look forward to every year but this has year has been extremely difficult in raising the funds. If it wasn't for the support from the Garscube Community Foundation they probably would not have been able to go so THANK YOU very much.

We will definately be recommending the GCF to other groups in the future so that they can get some help.  - Lorna Brennan - Secretary - St Mary's Parent Council
